Protein Biochemist-Molecular Biologist

Be part of a small but highly innovative team of Protein Chemists and Molecular Biologist. You will be involved in developing novel expression and protein purification technology. The qualified candidate(s) will have an opportunity to develop ubiquitin-like protein gene fusion systems. Technologies developed by VLI address the problem of the Post Genomics era - how do we express the many new discovered genes? Protein expression technologies will also have applications for diagnostics and protein array platform.

Experience in Molecular Biology, cloning and protein expression technologies for prokaryotes and eukaryotes is essential. Knowledge in the Baculo Virus expression system will also be useful. Knowledge in ubiquitin pathway filed will also be useful. We require a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Molecular Biology. Experience in physical and analytical methods related to the study of proteins will be required to design new methods and equipment to study one protein at a time or multiple proteins simultaneously.

Business Development Manager

This position requires a degree in biological sciences or business. At least 2-3 years of experience in licensing and business development is required.

Skills in licensing and business development in life sciences research experience are required. Experienced in commercializing diverse technologies, and negotiating license, collaborative research and other agreements with biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented, successful in managing deadlines and multiple projects is needed.

The successful candidate will develop plans to license VLI technologies to commercial and academic sector. You will develop literature on company technologies.
